From September, 22 till September, 29th in Petersburg will pass the First International musical competition of a name of Elizabeth Petrovny «GOLD HARP». Created in Petersburg at the initiative of Vladimir Temirkanova and Juliana Makarova, this competition urged to revive high culture of mastery, to lift the status of a rank of the winner in Russia and to return it the former importance.

  As a part of jury musicians of different specialities: conductor Maxim SHOSTAKOVICH - the chairman of jury, the President of Academy of music in Milan Andrea GRIMINELLI (flute), violin Liana ISAKADZE, the professor of a piano of the Parisian Conservatory Bruno RIGUTTO, the professor of Royal Conservatory of Bruxelles and the Prague Conservatory Yana BOJKOVA (harp), the violoncellist and organist Alexander KNYAZEV, the singer Lubov KAZARNOVSKAJA, the professor of the Russian Academy of music of a name Gnesin Natalia SHAMEEVA (harp). Besides, in jury structure Petersburger Anna MAKAROVA was included, whom many years are the soloist of the Deserved Collective of Russia of the academic symphonic orchestra of the Petersburg Philharmonic society and as teaches in the St.-Petersburg conservatory.
Competition prize fund – one of the largest on musical competitions in the world. Plus to a monetary prize the winner of the First award will receive an exclusive harp.
  And about one feature of competition. Not a secret that some years ago well-known "Lunacharka" where the Russian harps were produced, has been sold, closed also manufacture of domestic harps has died. If somewhere also tried to do local harp festivals addressed only to foreign manufacturers. During preparation for competition on Organizing committee there were present devotees and enthusiasts, and here, for the first time in the world, all participants will play Russian harps, whose manufacture has been revived Moscow masters.
  The most known and deserved competition of a harp in the world is a competition in Jerusalem (Israel). In the end of this year the Israeli competition will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary. The Petersburg competition «Gold harp» has all preconditions to make a worthy competition to the Israeli competition.

       On September, 22nd at theatre «Sankt-Peterburg the Opera» will take place Solemn competition «the Gold harp» opening . In a concert known Russian and foreign harpists will act: Natalia Shameeva, Yana Bozhkova (Czechia), Anna Makarova, Elizabeth Aleksandrova, Irina Donskaja, Florans Sitruk (Germany) and Jayson Chang (China).

From September, 23 till September, 28th in the Small hall of a philharmonic society will pass competitive listenings in which will take part more than twenty harpists from the different countries of the world: Russia, Americas, China, France, Romania, Moldova, Lithuania and others. From September, 23 till September, 25th - I round, 26 and 27th - II round, III round - on September, 28th accompanied by the State Academic symphonic orchestra of St.-Petersburg under control of Alexander TITOV.

The First International musical competition «Gold harp» in the Big hall of the Petersburg philharmonic society will come to the end on September, 29th. On Solemn closing, we hope, with salutatory references the adviser for culture of the President of the Russian Federation JU.K.Laptev, the Chairman of the council of Federation of Federal Meeting of the Russian Federation S.M.Mironov, the Minister of culture of the Russian Federation A.A.Avdeev will act. Rewarding of winners of competition and the Charitable action - transfer of classical (pedal) harps Selena to gift to musical schools of St.-Petersburg will take place.
  In Gala concert take part: the Orchestra of the State Hermitage under control of Fabio MASTRANGELO, soloists - winners of competition and judges: Liana ISAKADZE (violin), Lubov KAZARNOVSKAJA (soprano), Bruno RIGUTTO (piano), Andrea GRIMINELLI (flute). In the program: HANDEL, CHOPIN, DEBUSSY, TCHAIKOVSKY.

Besides directly competitive actions during competition carrying out «the Gold harp» will take place a number of charitable actions.

On September, 25th in Smolnom a cathedral will pass a charitable concert of the soloist of folk group "Mill" Natalia О’Shey (Helavissa) which will present the tool - a levers harp. The same day Alexander KNYAZEV will give a master class to pupils of Musical college of name N.A.Rimskogo-Korsakova and school-lycée at Conservatory of St.-Petersburg

On September, 26th participants of competition «Gold harp» will give a concert in «Research children's orthopedic institute of G.I.Turnera» for children with the limited possibilities.
