The fund of preservation and development of a creative heritage of composer Andrey Pavlovich Petrov (in abbreviated form A.P.Petrov's Fund) has been based in 2007. 

Andrey Pavlovich Petrov - the outstanding representative of the Petersburg creative intelligency who has continued in the creativity of tradition of Russian musical art. In its products many musical genres - from ballets and the symphonies familiar to listeners in our country and behind its limits, to the most popular melodies of songs and romances from the films grown fond by all are presented.

Andrey Petrov's fund aspires to keep a creative heritage of the composer in an active of domestic culture. A basis of activity of fund is carrying out of festivals, competitions, the concerts popularising products by A.P.Petrov, archive creation, ordering of a musical heritage, publications, the catalogue of audio and video of materials.

However the heritage of the composer is not only its music, but also the creative, civil and human principles one of which is support of talented people and undertakings. For this reason as not less important problem the Fund is considered by carrying out of competitions, concerts, participation and the organisation of the projects helping young musicians to show the abilities and to be heard.

The fund purposes
- Preservation and most an effective utilisation of a creative heritage of composer A.P.Petrov;
- Creation of archive of A.P.Petrov; 
- Encouragement of execution of products of A.P.Petrov;
- Perpetuating of memory of Andrey Pavlovich Petrov; 
- Support of young musicians
